Antay was a pillar of support for the creative industries, dedicating his career to ensuring that theater and community organizations had the resources necessary to thrive. Most recently, he served as a Major Gifts Officer at The Bushnell in Hartford, Connecticut, where his expertise and passion for mission-driven work left a lasting impact. His professional journey took him across the country, including significant tenures in Dallas and much of his foundational work in the Twin Cities.
In Minnesota, Antay was a vital force in the vibrant cultural landscape. His professional development work supported esteemed institutions such as the Guthrie Theater, Jeune Lune, the Walker Art Center, and the MN AIDS Project. He understood deeply that the strength of an arts organization lies in its ability to connect with its community, a skill he wielded with grace and efficacy throughout his career.
Beyond his administrative and fundraising prowess, Antay was a deeply creative soul. He was an active presence in Twin Cities theater, contributing his talents as both an actor and a director at venues including Park Square Theatre and Theatre in the Round. He is survived by his loving husband, Paul Ditolla; their devoted dogs; his mother, Antje; and his younger sister, Anya.
